To start ...
| slice two white onions and two red onions |
| then melt a stick of butter in a cast iron skillet |

| saute the onions in the melted butter until soft |
| add 2 tbsp of flour, and salt and pepper to taste to the softened oinions |
| while onions are cooking dice up 7 cloves of garlic |
| Add 32 oz a piece of chicken broth and beef stock and a cup of good red wine to the crock pot set on low and add the garlic to the liquid. |
| add onions to crock pot and let slow cook for 5 to 6 hours on low |
| shred your Gruyere cheese |
| and Parmesan cheese |
| all done!!! |
| I had my soup with a steak salad ... Yum!!! |
